Probably the best configuration under the current tournament rules.
It accelerates fast enough that guns rarely hit it, heavily armored to shrug off a short burst of Vulcan or Browning, uses an all AMRAAM missile armament to bleed enemy fighters of energy at all ranges, and carries dual GAU-8 cannons to defeat heavily armored targets. On manual control it can pull up to 75Gs, goes to speed up to Mach 2.5, and can circumnavigate Kerbin with maximum fuel load. I believe this fighter will be the yardstick to measure all tournament jet fighters to come.
Key Features:
- Dual center turbo ramjets and dual outboard vectored after-burning turbofans for the best combination of thrust and steering power. Outboard vectored fans generate twice the roll torque compared to typical twin-jet fighters due to having more leverage.
- High durability outer shell, built out of "Big Shuttle Delta Wing", which has the highest thermal mass multiplier for any wing piece, strutted to improve heat conductivity, and has radiators for extra heat dissipation, shrugs off a short burst of Vulcans or Brownings.
- All AMRAAM armament, which suppresses the enemy plane more effectively than Sidewinders, causing them to lose speed and become easy targets, because AMRAAMs can reacquire lock after being chaffed, whereas Sidewinders lose lock permanently after being distracted by a flare.
- Dual GAU-8 cannons, which fires explosive shells, which can destroy components mounted behind armor, making it effective against heavily armored crafts similar to itself.
