There was already a discussion that had this feature request in it, however it was marked as "fixed" when only the part about the crops being trampled was fixed.

Basically, this is a request for a flag that prevents farmland from becoming unhydrated. This would be particularly useful for map makers, but also for grief protection as it could be possible to remove the water source from an unprotected region that was supplying the hydration to the protected region.

as marked, it was fixed. a config option and flag was added.

Would you be so kind as to point me in the direction of the flag that was added, and where in the config you are talking about? Because I see no such options.

These are the only crop related options in the config I can find:
crops:
disable-creature-trampling: false
disable-player-trampling: false

This does not resolve the problem of farmland becoming unhydrated.

Okay, turns out I had an outdated version of WG.

For posterity's sake, the part in the config file for soil dehydration is under dynamics > disable-soil-dehydration.

And the flag is soil-dry.
