Features

• a Bubble Grave spawns when a player dies in survival/adventure gamemode:

The grave can't be killed and doesn't contain stuff itself, but if you Right Click it, and you have no items in your intentory, you get your stuff back.

• The grave cannot be moved from the position player died at.
• Stuff restores at the same position, including all NBT data
• If you die in the void / above the world height your grave will spawn at coordinate ~ 1 ~. So you can get your stuff even after falling into the void!

Compatibility

ONLY 1.17+ SUPPORTED. Datapack CANNOT work on lower versions due to technical inability. Items can be moved from entity to player without massive workarounds only since the 1.17 version, unfortunately.

No resourcepacks / other datapacks required.

This datapack is multiplayer friendly.

How to install / Use

To install the datapack simply download version you like (latest is recommended, but if you have issues you can use previous ones). Make sure you read Compatibility section above!

• Move the archive you downloaded (For example: bubblegraves-v1.0.zip) to your $WORLD/datapacks/ forlder (so the path to the file is: $WORLD/datapacks/bubblegraves-...zip)

  • Where's $WORLD is your world folder, you can open it from game menu by going to: Singleplayer > Your world > Edit > Open World Folder or just finding it in your .minecraft folder (different for different OS)

• Type /reload command in your world / server. You should get BubbleGraves ... datapack loaded. If you don't get this message - check if your datapack is right version.

  • If you can't install the datapack, in newest versions of minecraft you can do it another way, by going into main menu > Single Player > Create new world > Data Packs and drag and dropping the archive there. If it highlights with red — you installed the wrong build. If it still doesn't help: leave a comment with your issue.
