This pack is an attempt to fix some of the most disliked features of vanilla world generation without taking away the vanilla feel: no new structures or weird trees, but a much better arrangement of what vanilla already offers.

  • 50+ new biomes help transitioning between vanilla ones (instead of hard borders where everything changes in a matter of a few blocks) and adding variety to biomes that only come in 1-2 versions in vanilla
  • smooth transitions between 6 different climate zones and vegetation types (instead of random "biome bubbles" made of plains turning into forests turning into plains forever until boom! desert)
  • lot of biome-independent changes in terrain height and shape, with flat land and steep hills popping out randomly in the same biome (but not so often you won't notice it)
  • large mountain ranges in the middle of mainland transitioning to hills and lowlands (instead of random mountains popping up here and there, which is still possible but not the rule)
  • continents, archipelagos and islands with large oceans surrounding them (instead of an infinite mainland)
  • large beaches slowly going deeper and deeper (instead of small beaches instantly turning into oceans)
  • no new structures or blocks, aside from bushes from different plants (why not), so you're still getting a vanilla experience
  • includes 1.18's world height from Y=-64 to 320, new cave types, including deepslate caves, lush caves and dripstone caves, new ore distribution

Transitions help find the biomes you're searcing for. Need a jungle? Go where vegetation gets thicker and thicker while plants change to more tropical species. Need a mountain peak? Keep going for higher and higher land. Better than running in a random direction!
