Shingeki no Craft

The reality of how cruel life can be. Throughout this post there is current public information documenting the mechanisms and operation of the various gadgets and mobs included in the datapack. In case you have upgraded to a newer version, I recommend using the /reload to get everything working properly. The use of the resourcepack is a must for this datapack or else you will only see invisible titans constantly killing you. Optionally, I recommend having optifine installed with the default shaders (internal).

I've always liked minecraft mods that added giant creatures like dinosaurs, dragons, titans... However, I'm surprised how few mods there are in the community around this. I searched and searched for a whole week for mods to create a server with my friends, but after so many years of playing this game, it's getting harder and harder to surprise you. One day I decided that I was tired of waiting for someone to make a perfect Attack on Titan mod and I started creating it myself. Of course, since I'm a coder just for fun, I decided I wanted to take a chance on creating a datapack.

But, what is a datapack? isn't it the same as a mod?
Well yes, but actually no. A datapack is built in Minecraft, I take a bunch of command blocks
and use them in actual files to do crazy stuff (like those cursed imagen on reddit), they have more limitations than regular mods but they are actually easier to install and use once you get started.

Why a datapack?
Idk, I'm kinda insane sometimes.

Can I use this in a server?
The datapack has been thought to be multiplayer friendly since the beginning. In any case, I'm constantly testing it with my friends to make sure that everything is fine!

Since THIS project is a datapack, It will work with minecraft vanilla with no other requirement other than the resourcepack. However, there's 2 recommended mods to improve the experience of the player.

Optifine or Custom Entity Models (CEM):

Since Mojang hasn't updated the giants in many years, its not possible to equip a helmet with a custom model in their heads. Not using this mod will display as models getting wavy.

Pehkui:

To have a better experience using the shifters, using this mod will increase the third person view (only in single player, must be configured to work on servers).
