Forgotten Hallways - Randomly generated structure

Forgotten Hallways - Randomly generated structure

138 Downloads

Adds a new type of underground dungeon to your world, featuring randomly generated hallways created with the use of jigsaw blocks and a large selection of hand-crafted hallways, staircases and intersections containing loot, threats and more!

Works on any version after 1.19 (at time of writing) but versions other than the latest version will display as "incompatible" on the data pack selection screen. You may safely ignore this warning, it means nothing for this pack and won't affect generation or your world.

-Uses vanilla loot tables to randomly generate loot, including different loot tables used for different room types.
-Scattered monster spawners add risk to exploration.
-More valuable treasures can rarely be found within dead-ends.
-Generation frequency weighted roughly the same as mineshafts, with sizes varying greatly to keep exploration interesting.
-Is not 1.18 (or earlier) compatible due to a change in the structuring of generation data packs.
-Suggestions for new room types are welcome. More rooms may be added at a later date!

How to use:
1. Download the zipped data pack (versions available in the "files" section above). Do not unzip the folder.
2. On the 'Create New World' screen, go to 'Data Packs'.
3. Go to 'Open Pack Folder'.
4. drop the 'Forgotten Hallways' data pack into the folder that just opened. Ignore warnings about incompatibility, it will work on any 1.19 or above world.
4. Click 'Done' and then 'Create New World'.
5. When prompted about experimental features, just click 'Yes'.

If you have cheats on, you can find the closest structure to you with /locate structure lord:hallway_dungeon. Otherwise, try looking around Y20 in open caverns or while stripmining; they usually aren't hard to find.

You will very likely encounter an issue with water flooding parts of the dungeon whenever the dungeon intersects a flooded cave. This is a hard-coded structure waterlogging feature and there is currently no known fix. If you know of a workaround, please leave it below in a comment.
