As mentioned in the summary this datapack allows you to craft a compass that points you to the nearest Nether Fortress and also shows the distance if you use the command /trigger EnableFortressDistance .The idea of this datapack came to me when I was struggling to find a nether fortress in the nether in one of my Minecraft challenge videos, so with this datapack you guys don't have to struggles finding one. The datapack works for 1.19 and above and might also work for 1.18, 1.17 and 1.16 we haven't tested the versions below 1.19 so yeah. This datapack is made with java edition in mind.
So about the installation you install this datapack just like any other by putting the downloaded zip file and extracting it in the your datpacks folder of your Minecraft world. This Datapack was created by Steve Guy and ISamAtlas , there will be an explanatory video on the working of this datapack which is going to be created by me (Steve Guy) and ISamAtlas and will be linked to this page once its uploaded, the datapack mostly is self explanatory.
The Following is the crafting recipe or you can press L in the keyboard for the recipe to show up in game among advancements
Obviously it would not show the crafting result in game as compass but as a recipe book as some of you might know how things are with crafting custom nbt items and datapacks in Minecraft.
