Steps to Reproduce
Set a superflat world to only use an aether biome
or
Use a data pack which replaces the overworld with the aether's generation (pack attached below)

What You Expect To Happen
Expect the player to either die in the void or get teleported back to the closest block before their fall.
What Actually Happened
When the player reaches Y:0 or below what I assume happens is the client got teleported but the player entity is still falling in the void, reason to believe that is cause using a command such as /teleport to a location above Y:0 ends up fixing the issue.
