Steps to Reproduce
-
Install Aether (either the current beta version or, as of writing, the latest cutting-edge build) and CWSM
-
Summon a Withered Symbiont and/or tentacle mobs
-
Stay near the Withered Symbiont and note that the repel aura occasionally lasts for a very long time
-
Also note that tentacles occasionally hit the player from very far away
What You Expect To Happen
I expect the mobs to continue functioning as normal.
What Actually Happened
The mobs behave strangely, namely by having some effects activate from a very far distance.
Additional Details
Crackers believes that this part of Aether's code is causing the bug: Link!
Here is a link to his comment, where he explains his understanding of the bug a bit better: Link!
If he's correct, this means that the bug is that mobs increase their sight range upon the player attacking even when the player is not wearing the Invisibility Cloak. If this is true, then this bug is less of a mod compatibility bug and more of a 'invisibility cloak doesn't work right' bug.
