Happens if you get really unlucky.

1. Fight the Valkyrie Queen
2. Kill it before a lightning orb disappears
3. The lightning orb will destroy the drops if it's close enough.

What You Expect To Happen

For the keys to be immune to lightning so you can get the loot.

What Actually Happened

The key was destroyed.
