Bendalloy in the books is an alloy of cadmium and bismuth (https://coppermind.net/wiki/Bendalloy) not cadmium and lead. The real world alloy for Bendalloy is 50% bismuth, 26.7% lead, 13.3% tin, and 10% cadmium.(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wood%27s_metal)
