Hardened Amethyst Ingots can be used to create a whole new set of armor and tools to use after you mine for 10 years trying to get diamond.
Hardened Amethyst Ingots and Gold can be crafted together to make Amite, and when Amite and Netherite are crafted together they create Amethite.
Amethite can be used to make once again a new set of armor and tools.
