I'm having similar inconsistent animation issues with Chisel and ArchitectureCraft blocks. These problems go away when speedupAnimations=false, however my game gets oddly choppy despite showing a consistent 140 FPS. When I remove Angelica, the choppiness and animation problems go away. Here's a few examples:

Toggle.HUD.-.Roof.Tile.Block.webm
  • An ArchitectureCraft 'Roof Tile' block created from a Chisel 'Techincal Block' won't animate unless the actual Chisel block is being rendered. Toggling the HUD can stop animations too.
Animated.Chisel.Blocks.webm
  • 'Futura Block' and 'Energized Voidstone' won't animate unless you highlight the blocks or hold those blocks in your hotbar
  • Massive fan 'Industrial Technical Block' won't animate unless you highlight the block
  • 'Futura Block - Poptart Rainbow' animates without issue

Ho, ok, so puting the animated block on a pedestal or with the key "place item in world" could potentialy temporary fix the animation XD
