Using the "Squid pet" will get you a swim boost, but when you swim (with AquaAcrobatics) you get an insane speed underwater, its even easy to get out of the loaded chunks zone (with 32 chunks render distance)

As Inventory Pets is closed-source, it's difficult for me to determine what needs to be changed on my end to fix this. Please report the issue on their end as well.
