CURRENT BEHAVIOR: Cape texture overrides Beetle Elytra texture, while still rendering the cape as its own model.
INTENDED BEHAVIOR: Cape is hidden, normal Beetle Elytra texture is used.

I fixed the texturing issue, but hiding the cape is proving difficult.
