When Minecraft 1.9 came out, it brought the addition of a very underwhelming enchantment, which is called "Mending". It was so hyped up by Mojang that they made it a treasure enchantment! The enchantment is useless in vanilla unless you have thousands of experience points coming in. You especially realize how useless it is when you go to grind for experience to repair something like a Netherite pickaxe. Also, has anyone ever thought about how stupid it is that you cannot combine Infinity with Mending? Or how the game doesn't intelligently prioritize what tool should get repaired first? Or the fact that there's only 1 level of the enchantment? Well, I have a solution to all your Mending woes. Introducing...Better Mending!
Features:
- Intelligently prioritizes what tool/armor piece with the least durability gets repaired first.
- 3 default levels of the enchantment, which the higher the level, better the conversion rate!
- Unbreaking is incompatible with Mending by default.
- Infinity is now compatible with Mending by default.
- Highly configurable!
- Sneak-RightClick with a Mending Item in your hand will repair the tool using your experience with optional penalties in the config!
