This mod adds a scarecrow mob to Minecraft. This mob is a rare spawn, but it is very powerful to take on, and it is recommended to take on with at least full iron armor, if not diamond.
Most of the time what you will encounter is an inanimate scarecrow, just guarding a plains biome, but sometimes that scarecrow might just be out for blood. It will sprint at its target with inhumanly fast speed and pack quite a punch, but if you're able to slay such a foe, you just might be able to wield the scarecrow's scythe, which has similar stats to a diamond sword with excellent chance to behead mobs and players.
Scarecrows will always spawn as an inanimate scarecrow, but have a small chance to, anytime through the night, transform into a living scarecrow. Scarecrows will also definitely transform at midnight during a full moon, or at midnight on Halloween day.
All settings such as spawn rate, drop rates, beheading rates, etc. are fully configurable.
