Hello! I'm Black Moon! Today I've got a fun mini dimension-hopping mod I did as a little bit of a push to get myself back into some modding as I had lost interest in my other mod Hollow Biomes after I had to remake it, I was a little discouraged, so I'm working on this one for fun!
Alright so Shadow Realms is a dimension-hopping mod, I currently have 4 dimensions, each with a tier of tools and armor, and I have plans to get at least 10 dimensions made- but the four I have currently are The Mining Realm, The Volcanic Realm, The Tidal Realm, and The Battle Realm.
Skip down to the spoiler if you want a basic rundown of the mod and not a whole story : )
The Mining Realm is journeyed into by making a frame of sparkling Amethyst and the way can only be opened by Golden Flint, created by crushing a single nugget to dust and sprinkling it over a piece of flint. Keep your eyes out for a peculiar yellow gem in this dimension.
The Volcanic Realm requires one to have journeyed to the Nether, in order to make this frame you'll need to have found a Crimson forest of overgrown mushrooms, the Stem of these mushrooms is your way to a second firey world- in order to open the gate you'll need the remnants of a Magma Cube and an Explosive Charge. Keep your eyes out for a burning orange gem in this dimension.
The Tidal Realm is only reachable after one has explored the Depths of the Ocean, the frame of this dimensional gate is made of ancient Prismarine Bricks, and perhaps you have found an even more ancient object, a Shell lost in the depths for ages, scrape away the grime with a Stick and you'll find it has the most beautiful of colors all over it. Keep your eyes out for a deep blue gem in this dimension.
The Battle Realm is an eternal battlefield that adventurers and explorers have always dreamed of, to make this gateway one needs to have obtained the Darkest of Stones and ensured they have Refined them, no need to sacrifice you or another on an alter to open the door, simply combine the Blood of an Enemy with the Blind Eye of an Enderman to create the key. Keep your eyes out for a blood-soaked ore in this dimension.
Perhaps other secrets await? Maybe try speaking with the demon living in your furnace? he may have a secret recipe for a Special Ingot that melds ancient Netherite and Blood Iron?
For those who do care not for cryptic/fun recipes, hints, and such.
The Mining dimension has several structure types and extra emeralds and gold and has 2 custom biomes. put a gold nugget in crafting- combine the dust with flint- and combine the gold flint with iron like normal flint n steel. Amber Garnet is what can be found here.
The Volcanic dimension is pretty much a second, possibly, more dangerous Nether, and also has 2 custom biomes. combine magma cream and a fire charge. Fire Opal is what can be found here.
The Tidal dimension is a flooded world only up to I think 100, so boats are usable for those who hate water worlds, there are no custom biomes here. combine a nautilus shell and a stick. Aquamarine is what's here and a full armor set provides water breathing indefinitely.
The Battle dimension has every base biome(no sub-biomes) with structures and one or two random ones I like, this dimension has 3 custom biomes. combine redstone dust and an ender pearl. Blood Iron is what's found here, this dimension is also so far my favorite as it has pretty cool world gen.
There is an alloy armor and tools/weapons that give unique effects- place Blood Iron and Netherite in a smithing table(as the alloy furnace doesn't currently function) to get Netherblood which is pretty strong stat-wise but shouldn't be overpowered.
I Recommend running JEI for recipes and Dungeon mods for extra structures in the dimensions as I have yet to implement my own dungeons(I do plan to though, some custom mobs too). Please keep in mind that I'm making this in MCreator(and am still very new to modding) so I have limitations and will probably make a lot of mistakes Shadow Realms is currently in Beta so bugs and or comments on certain things will be helpful. Some of the textures may seem odd or reused and that would be because I pulled them from my own resource pack, I wanted to go a little fancier than vanilla for some textures. : )
