Living armor is a new favorite of mine, and since it is so versatile I think many people will be tempted to switch between different specs on the fly. Cleansing ritual and tomes work fine, but dealing with all the different upgrades and inventory juggling can be a hassle. It makes sense to create multiple sets to switch between, and it would be really great if we could color them as we like.

I'm not so sure on this. Look at the way Sentient Armor works, with different types of Will.

Hmm, might be cool if you could give the armour's item texture an outline similar to the Holding sigil. Not sure if it is necessary to have a full-colour change to the armour - hue shifting might leave to ugly results!

Either that, or you could rename the chest in an anvil for quicker swapping!
