[Suggestion] Symphony of the Siren's Thrall ritual for T5 in 1.9/1.10 (Idea is not complete)

Now, first of all, there is a reason I put this at T5. It could be considered imbalanced, not as much as the old Omega armor, but still a little imbalanced in certain situations. I know T5 takes 4 beacons, and I think that's an appropriate cost for this one. Maybe make it use up a lot of LP over time too, so that it's not something you can just use all the time for the most part. Enough rambling though, time to tell you what this proposed ritual actually does!

Now, this mod's lore has already established that certain creatures, soulless or otherwise controlled, rely on Demonic Will to give them life and purpose. This ritual is a highly advanced construction that can bend the Will inside of nearby monsters and alter that very purpose. However, there is a catch. The ritual on its own isn't smart enough to know what the player wants the monsters to do. It will therefore wrest control of the Will of monsters that come too close, but will then simply cause them to stand still and not do anything.

In order to command the mobs to do one's bidding, there are several ways of controlling the Symphony's influence, some more precise than others. The simplest and most precise method involves taking a direct hand in things. By standing atop the MRS and pressing shift while having the crosshair targeting an enthralled mob, you may assume complete control over that mob for a time. You will have access to all abilities of the mob, including unique attacks. This control will end under four circumstances: 1. Your real body that is standing atop the MRS is hit by an attack, thus breaking your "trance" and sending you right back to it. The mob stays enthralled though. 2. You wander outside the boundaries of the Symphony's influence, causing the mob to "snap out of it" and you to be ejected back to your own body. 3. The Soul Network powering the Symphony runs out of LP, causing ALL mobs controlled by the ritual to snap out of it, which can be very dangerous if there are a lot of them and you happen to be close! 4. You press shift again, causing you to return to your body without freeing the mob.

The other method involves the Symphony detecting items inside a chest placed 2 blocks below the MRS, different items specify different actions, which will be executed by all enthralled mob(s) (Or specific ones if you can think of a way to specify them) every time the mechanism is triggered by a different block of the ritual structure receiving a redstone signal. Putting multiple items in the chest causes the corresponding actions to be executed in order, with empty slots and unrecognized items being treated as nonexistent. (Side note: this paragraph is the most WIP part of the idea, feel free to change it completely if you do add this.)

If you like the idea, you may add it. No catch. If you don't like it, don't add it. No hard feelings. Also, it is a bit late at the time of writing this, so I am sorry if I sound stupid at any part of this post.

It sounds neat, but I believe it may be a little too much for BM. Would probably do well as its own mod, or at the least, a BloodMagic addon that does only that.

Hey, no problem TehNut. I'm learning code, so I may attempt it at some point, but for now I can do without. Thanks for letting me know. Closing this because it seems a bit redundant to have it laying around now.

Nah, leave it open so @WayofTime can... weigh in on it.

I forgot to mention something when I opened this. Feeding the ritual different Will types would give bonuses to enthralled mobs depending on the Will type used, so Vengeful is a speed buff, Steadfast is Resistance, etc. Like the idea @WayofTime ? Edit: one other thing, the range for keeping mobs already under control, under control, would be a lot larger than the range for enthralling mobs, the former would cover a few chunks in all directions, while the latter would be limited to fairly close to the ritual.

Well, the issue then becomes "how much is required to do this?" I know other mods have done this before, however they are all closed source :P

Well, I don't know, I'm only just starting to learn code myself. If it turns out too hard to implement, I won't get mad :P

Needs an update and labels.
