The screen flashes white for a split second when I view recipes in JEI

Have you changed any config settings? I can't reproduce it on my end.

I believe I may be having the same issue. To describe it in more detail,
It isn't so much "flashing white" as just quickly un-blurring and re-blurring. The only config option I changed was the fade time, which I made 100. The issue was actually more noticeable before I made that change.
It may be worth noting that I am viewing recipes with the latest JEI and NEI loaded, on Minecraft 1.11.2.

After playing with it, I think that's what I'm getting too. I'm on 1.10.

Just writing a comment to say I am also getting this issue on 1.10.2. Exactly as the others have described it. It was working fine before, and suddenly it isn't. Have a good 100 mods installed so no idea if there are any conflicts, but all I did is update a few mods and it's broken. Uninstalling/reinstalling and creating a new world doesn't work. It's like it's corrupted or another mod is conflicting with it. I also haven't changed any config settings and am unsure what triggered it :/

You updated a few mods and then started having issues? You've found your answer. One of those mods is causing the problem.
