For whatever reason, rubidium in a non-dev environment is using the minecraft block texture atlas instead of changed latex block texture atlas to render latex covered blocks.

Error seems to be a priority issue with rubidium and changed fighting over the mixin: ItemBlockRenderTypes.canRenderInLayer()
