After testing this issue, I was not able to recreate it. Everything works as intended already. Please update your build if needed, and show how you acquired the null model block you were placing in the video, because it's not in the creative menu on the master branch.

I will close this issue as stale if nothing comes of this.

also that textureless block is the "book stack", for some reason no lab book in creative menu

for some reason i can't add another book to the books stack using a lab book, it just doesn't work, and it is the latest build

but using a book stack item instead works, which is weird.
if this might help, i used forge 40.2.7 (i'll try updating) (it did not help)

What branch is this on? Also, have you tried creating a new world?
