A small, lightweight Fabric mod that makes your chat better and much more customizable! Inspired by a few mods, listed below with the features:
- Increases the amount of maximum chat messages from 100 to at least 1024 (More Chat History)
- Adds a timestamp before all messages with a tooltip that goes down to the millisecond (When Was That Again)
- Keeps all chat history and messages sent between worlds and servers, and divides them up with a session boundary line (Keep Command History)
- Lets you modify vanilla player names to something more appealing than triangle brackets
- Minimize spam by enabling the counter that shows how many messages have been sent in a row
- All of this is configurable, with much more to offer
- See the GitHub README for more details
FAQ:
- What version is this for? I try to keep it updated for the latest versions of Minecraft.
- Will you make it for (older Minecraft version)? Not likely. The oldest version I'll be making is 1.16.x
- Will you make this for Forge? No, mostly because Fabric has much better resources. Also, most of the features here are covered in the mods above.
- I found a problem, what do I do? First, make sure you have the latest version of the mod. If it still persists, you can click on the Issues tab on this page and create an issue! But PLEASE make sure that you've provided detailed information and a similar issue doesn't already exist.
- It says I need to install Fabric but I have Fabric installed!! This mod requires the Fabric API, install that as well.
- Where can I use the mod? It is client side, which means it doesn't do anything on the server. So that means you have to install it.
- I can't read/access the config menu! You need the LATEST versions of both Cloth Config and Mod Menu to access it in game. If you don't install them, you have to edit it manually at (directory)/config/wmch.json.
- My config is broken/not working! I would recommend deleting the file located at (directory)/config/wmch.json, and the mod will automatically regenerate a safe one you can edit. Make sure you're using valid values as well (if you've installed Cloth Config and Mod Menu, it'll tell you about those). If it's still not working, open an issue on GitHub.
