Description

I used this mod extensively in 1.12.2 and the main reason was due to its name "compact machines" which allows you to create farms and gain an output item while only taking up a 1x1 space. However, I'm using Botany Pots to grow ores, I placed 1 in there to ensure the dimension is always loaded but the canes wont grow unless im in there.

I've used this with the chickens Mod in the past and the chickens would lay eggs/ores and i would pipe them out into my main base or main machine. However with these canes not growing unless Im in there also this defeats the purpose the mods original intent. I can only assume the dimension isn't loaded since nothing grows in there unless I'm in there also.

Am i doing something wrong. Do i adjust the configs? Any help or guidance is appreciated.

How to reproduce

1.Place a machine into overworld and enter
2. Place any crop inside of a Botany pot (i used dirt to grow a Cane from growable Ores)
3. Exit the dimension and wait a few minutes then reenter
4. See if any ores have grown.

Возможно поздно, но мне удалось решить эту проблему с помощью загрузчика чанков из мода ChickenChunks. Для работы будет достаточно маленького загрузчика одного чанка, помещенного внутрь механизма и всё прекрасно работает

It may be late, but I managed to solve this problem using the chunk loader from the ChickenChunks mod. A small loader of one chunk placed inside the mechanism will be enough for work and everything works fine.

Saw a previous post 2 weeks ago asking the same question "Why isnt the machine chunk loaded" and apparently it NOT being loaded is FEATURE not a bug. Which.... Defeats the entire Purpose of the entire mod. Now its just a Dimension mod, which i still enjoy but i cant use it as a mini factory anymore.
