Armor, Tools & Weapons
Create: Ironworks gives much more freedom with regards to armor and tool choices, offering 5 new armor and tool sets. These items are made from Copper, Brass, Steel, Rose Quartz and Sturdy Sheets. All have specific and/or niche uses in your progression.
Copper and Brass tools and armor are good early and mid-game options to replace iron, usually much needed for your Create contraptions.
Rose Quartz has the same defense points as Diamond armor, but with very low durability. Meanwhile, Sturdy Sheet makes for very durable armor with defensive capabilities right between Iron and Diamond.
Create: Ironworks also adds Steel used to create powerful gear, right between Diamond and Netherite.
The mod also features 2 new tool types: the Hammer and the Paxel. These tools trade off mining speed for functionnality. Versions for vanilla materials are all also included.
- The Paxel combines the properties of a Pickaxe, Axe and Shovel
- The Hammer has the same properties as a Pickaxe, but mines in a 3*3 area:
Also, all the new armor sets from the mod are trimmable:

Alloys & Processing
Brass is no longer made from tossing ingots into a heated basin. Instead, you need to use raw ores to create alloys. This makes progressing to the 'Brass Age' more challenging and rewarding. If you want to easily farm raw ores, you can check out my other project.
Alloys can still be smelted like any raw ore (bulk smelting also works). Of course, it's better to process alloys in other ways for better yield!
Alloys can now be processed using crushing wheels, granting experience as well as other byproducts.
On the other hand, washing alloys does not yield experience, but has the highest final-product yield.
Advanced recipes and other features
Steel is useful for many things. Notably, they substitute for other materials in certain recipes. For instance, it can replace Iron when crafting Precision Mechanisms, with a 100% success rate (vs. 80% with Iron Nuggets).
Steel is also used as a replacement for Diamond in Netherite upgrades (works for all Netherite tools and armor). No more wasting your diamonds on duping templates!
Dependencies
Only the base Create mod is required for this one to work.
JEI is recommended for recipes but not required.
