Overview

Crystal Modifiers is an exploration-magic mod, it adds in a new type of ore called Crystal Ore which can be found commonly all throughout the world, these drop Crystals which can be given a modifier using a Crystal Sealer to allow the users to apply effects to themselves, like potions, but with more options, no 'drinking time', but less amount of potion effect time. They can also not be stacked, and are automatically depleted on use. There are also 3 new items for advanced combat, the Crystal Dagger, Crystal Ore, and Crystal Strike.

These all do as follows:

  • Crystal Dagger: Apply an effect to it, and then when you hit an entity with the dagger, that effect is given to the entity. Has no durability but lacks in strength in both weapon damage and potion time/strength.
  • Crystal Orb: Apply an effect to it, and then when you right click it, it spawns an Area of Effect cloud (similar to a Lingering Potion) based on the effect. Lasts a while but is very expensive to craft.
  • Crystal Strike: Doesn't have an effect, right click on the ground to select coordinates, and then when you shift+right click, it will spawn 2 TNT to rain down upon the area. You can have multiple of these as they have separate values.

To-do list

  • Add loot table entries for crystals.
  • Allow you to modify regular items.
  • Completely overhaul the models. (animations?)
  • Change the name because Crystal Modifiers doesn't sound cool enough.
  • Mod compat and API.
  • Tiered crystals/crystal sealers?
  • Add more content!!!
  • Add Patchouli support.
