Custom Armor Helmet glitch | BUG

It seems its only in the editor this glitch appears.
Root selected:
Helmet selected:
Helmet selected but hidden:
This makes it a bit difficult for me to edit my model's armor placement for the helmet.
Version: Forge 0.0.17g
