For Vanilla Minecraft, this is a really cool and sick mod! Functionally, I like how the customization works compared to a mod like Elytra Trims.
However, for modded Minecraft, it would be really great for integration/compatibility with some popular mods that do add Armor Trims such as:

• YUNG's Cave Biomes (Forge/NeoForge) -> Ancient Armor Trim
• Alex's Caves -> Polarity Armor Trim
• Caverns & Chasms -> Exile Armor Trim
• Jaden's Nether Expansion -> Rift Armor Trim, Spirit Armor Trim. Valor Armor Trim
• Unusual End -> Ancient Armor Trim

These are the trims that I am currently using within my own modpack, and a lot of others are as well.
It would be really nice to actually use this mod with modded trims and such. Here is what it currently looks like with some of those trims I mentioned
