I'd like to say I'm clearly not in the nether
This is probably caused by the dimension_type of my dimension maybe being nether?
Anyways, the dimension itself is still minecraft:the_end and the mod seems to be ignoring it and displaying something else
Using Far End datapack and fabric-death-coords-1.17.1-1.0.0.jar

(update: has been fixed on a pull request by someone else, pls accept it)
