Deeper Nether Biomes
Before / No mod
After / With mod
I am annoyed at the Soul sand valley and Basalt Deltas in the 1.16 nether update. I love their concept, how they look, all but one thing.
They are only on the surface. If you dig any bit into them, you'll run into netherrack. It doesn't make sense for giant cave biomes to only be surface deep. So this mod aims to fix that. Here is what the mod does, summed up...
1) During the UNDERGROUND GENERATION step for soul sand valleys and basalt deltas: Adds in the correct version of nether quartz and nether gold to the respective biomes, replacing netherrack and their own types.
2) During the (modify top-layer) step of generation: goes through and tries to replace as much netherrack, netherrack gold, and netherrack quartz in the respective biomes with the respective filler block. It does it during this step of generation, since it is the last step of generation. It will have the least amount of impact on other mods.
This mod is best used if you pre-generate the nether, as it does add in some lag to having to replace all the netherrack.
