Important: this mod is 'Work In Progress', it is missing some textures, models, gameplay, balance and others.
Do not expect a finished and polished mod, most of the gameplay listed below is implemented, but incomplete.
This mod, in it's current state, 'should not' corrupt your world/inventory, but I recommend to use it with caution (tested on some 1.16.5 modpacks).
I publish it early to have player input on how it should be headed (and hopefully to find some artists to help me with the textures, models and UI).
The time dilation upgrade might cause unexpected behavior with other mods or even crashes, please report any problem with this upgrade by stating how you can reproduce it and with what mod(s).
A 'new' take on bags, inspired by the concept of pocket dimension (like Harry Potter tents that are bigger on the inside), this mod add Bags that you can equip (using the Curio library) and also enter.
This mod was also heavily inspired by Nomadic Tents, Compacts Machines, Iron Backpack, Extra Utilities and Integrated Dynamics.
At first, an unassuming bag with not that much storage (the default is 9 slots, which can hold up to 256 items per slot), once you upgrade and enter it, it becomes a new way of thinking/travelling/storing etc.
Upgrading the bag is done in two ways: traditional (inserting items inside the bag) but also by putting specific blocks inside the bag (the amount of slots is determined by the 'slot' blocks inside the bag, same for 'tanks' (fluids) and 'batteries' (energy).
There is also a few things that can be done inside the bag:
- a block allow manipulation of the inventory of the user (items, fluids, energy): you can remove/add items in the user inventory (including off hand and armor slots, but not curios), pump out liquid XP (if there is a compatible mod, like pneumaticraft or thermal series), insert and extract energy from the users items, and more
- another block, similar to the first, allow manipulation of items, fluids and energy in the vicinity of the bag (pickup items on the ground, pump in/out fluids in world, charge/discharge nearby RF/FE blocks).
- thanks to blocks reacting/emitting redstone, you can monitor the state of the bag and it's user, and even control the user with the bag.
- an upgrade that allow capturing of mobs inside the bag interacts with a block that set where filtered mobs will be put inside the bag.
- another upgrades (OP, still need tweaking) allows you to change how the time flows inside the bag (slow down time and you generate energy, accelerate time and poof goes all your energy :p)
- you can customise the walls inside the bag with any full block that is not a tileentity (no inventory and the like)
- you can change the size of the bag (by literally pushing the walls of the bag with and item called the 'wall pusher')
- while inside the bag or while the bag is equipped, holding the bag action key will give you access to a fake bag, allowing you to manipulate the bag as if you had it in hand.
almost all the blocks retain their settings and inventories when broken and can be moved from bag to bag (they can't be placed outside the bag).
