I have added the colour settings to my mod in 2.1. Will have to double check priorities to make sure it applies correctly after FVT is updated to fail-soft on mixing in.
Great, now I will wait for modded item, Currently using :

@ardissaps I decided to split mod compatibility to an add-on mod. This allows more frequent updates there without affecting the (vanilla-first) main mod.
I tested basic functionality with all of the mods you linked. I'm sure there's advanced things in there I missed, though. Please open issues in https://github.com/Crendgrim/DynamicCrosshairCompat for anything wrong / missing that you notice!
The compat mod is currently under review on Modrinth and Curseforge, and should (hopefully) become available soon™. Once it does, I'll add links to it.
Curseforge finally approved it, https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/dynamic-crosshair-compat
