
[Suggestion] Only the Eye Symbol

Create a Mod just for the Eye Symbol
Dynamic Stealth has a lot of mechanics that add to the game.
For the players who don't want to use these mechanics, they can use "BackStab" mod.
Now my suggestion would be to add the Eye Symbol in a new mod to give players the option to only know if they are targeted by an hostile entity.
Ideas:
- Play a sound when you get spotted
Question:
- When disable all mechanics in the config and only allow the eye symbol work, can the deactivated mechanic cause conflicts with other mods? ๐ค
-- When it don't add mechanics to the game, then there would be no conflict potential, and modpack makers can use this feature right now, without creating a new mod
Well, it's been more like 3-4 years instead of 3-4 months...I assume there's no longer a demand for this in 1.12.2?
If this is still requested for 1.12.2, comment here and I might look into creating a mod called "I'm in Danger!" or something

I would love to see such a mod on 1.12.2.
At the moment I can not use Dynamic-Stealth properly because of my design goals and mob behaviour based on the aggro system.
I use "Medium Armor Sets" (Leather, Fur, Scales) to give the player a potion effect via ZenScript based on conditions. Then they would be able to sneak attack and the fight goes as usual.
There are more ideas like smoke bombs and Elctroblobs Spells that will be used via ZenScript to make combat interesting.
The only workaround at the moment is to set all mobs to a blacklist and deactivate the mod completely only using the "Eye" feature.
But still the aggro system makes mobs to lose interest on the player after he walks around a corner (maybe only a config issue). ๐ค
But having only the eye feature would be awesome! ๐

I'm at a decent stopping point on what I was just working on for DS, so I'll give this a try as a new mod.

The stealth gauge (eye symbol) in its current form relies on all the stealth systems in DS to decide "how visible" you are. It could be done as a standalone mod, but if it were done that way, it would not have variable levels. It would be "on" or "off" (targeted or not targeted).
I think that would be "ok" for the playerbased. That's how Minecraft targeting works. -> on/off
The smooth Animation of the eye can be implemented too.
So it open and close nice and smooth wile creating the immersion of being detected "slowly". (20-30 ticks)
I see a need for such a mod. At the moment there is no mod that give feedback to the player when an enemy comes near or targeting you.
So the Player get at least hit one time before he can react. (ok, there are food steps too, but in a dungeon with 20 entities around the player, he can not trust food step sounds...)
An extra of this eye feature is, that the player get a bit nervous as soon the eye pops out!
Making a nice feeling before getting in close combat.
Hope you can agree with some points ant want to create this, would love to see this released.
This is not a bad idea, but keep in mind I have a very long TODO list, so I don't know when I'll get around to it.
