When the player has effects applied, it's using the same real-estate as the recipes. Don't have a good solution to this; perhaps move it below the inventory screen?

Or option to hide status effects. Especially as Durability Viewer has the option to show countdowns. Or move status or crafting to the other side if the vanilla crafting book is disabled as there's nothing on that side anyway.

Would be nice to have this fixed. Really annoying bug, especially since moving the crafting area to the left conflicts with item scroller

@ZuccySuccy @oauo and everyone else, I found a portional workaround.

The workaround is this mod. Isn't as good as with REI but still looks fairly decent.
