The Holding enchant in thermal expansion has 4 levels, so it requires 4 strongboxes, right? Unfortunately strongboxes don't stack, so you can't get past level 1. You could just change it to "Glass" which is hardened glass, the upgrade item for reinforced strongboxes and such.

They don't stack? Even without any items in them? That seems pointless. Well, I'll look into changing that recipe to something better.

You can't even craft more than one at a time. Same goes for satchels.

It's the same as with the other enchantments. Once you go over a certain level, you need to enchant books and combine them.

All of the other enchantments work just fine? Are there any in particular that don't? I only know of this one.

I'm too lazy to look up the max levels of those enchants, but you cannot get Sharpness VI, Smite VI or any of the Protections V because of the stacksize limit.

...um. the limits for sharpness and attack enchants are V, and protection enchantmens are IV. Which you can get. They are exactly set up to be able to just get them. If you try to go higher the anvil will actually downgrade your enchantment book to these caps.
