Enhanced Overworld
Enhanced Overworld adds many new ores, gear, and blocks to the overworld.
Materials
Copper
Copper ore can be found generating between Y0 and Y84.
It has the same durability as iron, but grants the wearer knockback resistance, and has better enchantment chances. Slightly better and less common than iron, copper is a great midgame set of armor. It can be crafted into a decorational block that can power beacons.
Chainmail
Adding chainmail, you can now craft chainmail armor, and studded armor. Being cheaper than iron armor, it is a good beginning game armor. Smithing chainmail with Iron and Gold Armor will give you Studded versions of the respective armors, granting higher knockback resistance and toughness.
Refined Obsidian
Smelting Obsidian will grant the player a refined obsidian ingot. Smithing this ingot with Diamond Armor and tools will grant armor and tools more powerful than diamond, but not quite as strong as Netherite. This armor can be later upgraded to Netherite. It can be crafted into a decorational block that can power beacons.
Fossil Fragment
These fossil fragments are found below the Drylands biome. They can be used to craft a Skull Helmet and Ribcage Chestplate. With very low armor rating, the only practical use of these two items is the night vision granted when worn together.
Biomes
Drylands
Once a vibrant, lush forest, now the remaining Drylands are home to dead trees and Villagers too stubborn to leave home. Though the surface does not seem very valuable, if you dig below you can find the fossils of ancient giants that roamed these lands. Strangely enough, shipwrecks are dotted throughout these biomes, though their origins are unknown for now.
Mushroom Mountains
This magical fungal peaks are beautiful and bountiful. Rising above the clouds, these mountains seem impossibly tall at times. A strange glowing mushroom can be found here, and when turned into stew, it replenishes a surprising amount of hunger and saturation, and you glow too! Good luck finding this biome however, some don't even believe it exists...
