Describe the issue

Trying to launch the mod pack Star Technology with latest Entity Texture Framework installed for that version of Minecraft results in a hard crash to desktop during preloading.

Traced the issue back to the mod LaserIO UEL based on the stack trace that gets dumped out when the crash occurs. Disabling LaserIO UEL allows the game to boot normally with ETF installed but is not a viable solution in this situation due it being part of the mod pack's progression.

Let me know if I should file this bug with the LaserIO UEL team.

Optifine is NOT installed, for the record, though I do have Embeddium installed.
