Breakout task from KillenCraft/Bunyan#10

@toxicwolf

Don't know if this is relevant/do-able or not, but what about the ability to place vanilla vines on the ground; would allow for some nice decoration in jungles/swamps, but mainly to have vines running along the side of a fallen tree. Just thinking aloud really...

@ScottKillen

It sounds interesting... ;) I'll give it some thought

@stertingen

i like this idea. really.

added to the fallen trees section of the Terrain Features WIP in oneone-whakaaro. Specifically the moss and mushroom ideas. Closed.

That's one thing I've always missed about Minecraft... I have a lot of wooded areas near where I live and really thought there should be a way to add them. With sideways logs it becomes easier. (too bad we don't have angled logs though...)

Don't forget logs in water too...

also, maybe driftwood for ocean...

logs should have a chance to maybe generate without bark as is being discussed in the other thread...

Another thought, that just occurred to me, would be to potentially add a moss that could work like vines but spread in different directions .

Edit: would also be good for fallen trees.

@DanZilla90 I love that idea. Would the moss be able to be harvested like vines are? Could you place it on other surfaces? It would be cool if it came in different shades of greens and could be harvested and applied to other items...like how you can place vines. Would be cool too if you could say put a piece of rock or wood and a piece of moss in the crafting table or oven or some other machine and the output would be a moss covered slab or block of whatever you put in.

Mushrooms would be another idea that could be added to wood...especially decaying wood. They could be harvested for food or placed on wood and cause decay.
