Re-vamping of old biomes

I like the shape a lot. It looks very similar to pictures of redwoods that I have seen. I am wondering if there is anyway to make the leaves look more like the ones in this image of a redwood.

yes they are handmade @bolte-17, and @Annysia I don't know how I would be able to make the leaves like that as those are placed very sparingly, and are very thin, almost like pine needles. I will do my best and use brances, but for now this is what I have. What other trees would you like me to revise?
Well, for v4 all the trees and flowers will need to be redone as well as the trees, flowers and bushes from FN and all the new trees and plants we want to add. So what ever you would like to do would be fine.
@Annysia I am a little lost so tell me one tree or one plant or biome you would like me to work on
I think I also need a list of what exactly is going into V4 as new material. I heard shipwrecks mentioned, and I could design those. I could also come up with a texture for sea weed for the new ocean biome, but i am not clear on what exactly is going into this and what i need to do, so if you could just email me or message me a list that would be great thank you. @Annysia
ok so green swamp and autumn forest got it. Would you mind sending me some pictures of swamp trees you would like me to create?> @Annysia
The trees in the autumn forest would be a start...or design a tree that
looks more appropriate for the green swamp besides an oak tree with vines.
Also, I like the slabs, but perhaps make the roots not so wide and perhaps
a bit more tapered.

.
We don't know what all is going into v4 yet as we are just starting. We have some plans but nothing is set in stone yet other than the ocean biome. Shipwrecks are something someone suggested and would fit into the ocean biome...but that is something that would probably be after the initial release of v4. For the ocean biome we will need a variety of corals, sea weeds, kelp, kelp forest...etc.
Here is a suggestion of a mangrove tree for swamps. Also take a look at twilight forest's mangrove trees. The root systems are the important part of them. They are designed to start underwater. http://image.shutterstock.com/display_pic_with_logo/53729/53729,1131652627,4/stock-photo-mangrove-tree-on-a-sandbank-711996.jpg
Yes, that is a similar image to the ones I have for mangroves. And yes, I am familiar with Twilight Forest's trees as I have used the mod. I stopped using it only because I dislike having to go to other dimensions to get to a playable area. While of course all trees have roots of some type....and while we will use them on some trees....I also think we have to be careful not to over do it....especially on trees that are not really big. Also, depending on where they grow and the species of tree. Some have extensive root systems while others have minimal. Some are on the surface and others are totally underground.
I think if green swamps are to be revamped, bald cypress trees, and also old mans beard lichens should be considered.
This is old man's beard lichen, an extreeeemely slow growth rate lichen. http://m6.i.pbase.com/g4/49/919249/2/139756756.SLeDnoAI.jpg
For rainforests: Rafflesia Flower
Yes, I have a document full of tree images and several like that. The hard part is the leaf texture for one like that.....to get that type of look for the tree.
for the old man's beard lichen I could make another vine texture that will look quite similar. I am still learning how to do leave textures as I only started making textures a few days ago. I will do my best, but i'm not sure how the roots will come out.
That would be great. Teo has redone the log textures for it and they look great...but the shape of the fir and redwood need work.
All of our old biomes will be getting a face lift. From new trees and plants to new tree generation. We will also be adding, removing or completely changing some biomes into a new biome.
