[Bug] Redstone Port - unable to detect changes in Redstone

Setup
Energy Cell with comparator facing into redstone port set to change Fuel Rod Insertion on redstone level.
Single piece or Redstone in between the comparator and the redstone port.
Expected Behaviour
Reactor should set the Fuel Rod Insertion as soon as the signal changes.
Real Behaviour
Reactor changes the Fuel Rod insertion only when pressing the save button inside the GUI.
Other Updates that I testet:
- Directly powered (comparator into the block)
- Lever directly
Version
Minecraft: 1.18.2
Forge: 40.1.25
Extreme Reactors: 2.0.42
Update:
It can Detect changes from 0->x or x->0 (0<x<16) but no changes when the block is already powered.
That should not fix this.
