I feel like Canny Composter and Food Funk could be merged into one mod. I mean, it isn’t much you’d have to work on, and the mods already have lots of cross compat.

No, modularity is good - and Canny Composter will probably not be ported to MC versions that already have the new vanilla composter unless there is a good reason.
