Andesite and brass casings from create currently do not support connected textures when placed in framed blocks, in the image provided, the top are framed stairs, the middle are regular andesite casings, and the bottom are andesite casings in regular framed blocks. Its not a huge issue but i really enjoy using andesite casing as a building block, so if possible and if its not too much work it would be nice to have their connected texture supported(im not sure if a separate connected textures mod makes the regular casings connect or not, so i apologize if this is the case, but the pack im playing/the screenshot is from is all the mods 9, mc version 1.20.1)

Create's connected textures system currently doesn't work well with framed blocks. For example, if you place a casing block next to a framed block with the casing as camo then the casing will visually connect to the framed block but not the other way around. I'm working with the Create devs to get this improved and I'll keep this issue open until this is resolved.

How is progress going? Are there any updates regarding this? It has been quiet for quite some time.

There has unfortunately not been any progress on this. I had a starting point for this but haven't had a chance to actually design, implement and suggest the necessary changes to fix this.
