Describe the feature

I would like to suggest a block that would be awesome to work with or a compatibility that could help with builds, framed half pillar cant be used in a same block space with a slab on top of it or underneath it. That composition could make some builds look better and cleaner. It could be as a singular connected block or a possibility to put them together as depicted in the file I attacked to the issue.

I just noticed that the bottom small doodle is incorrect to the idea I'm I had in mind the bigger drawing is correct, I wish its readable if not I can draw some side sketches.

Thank you for moving this suggestion here. Now I see what you meant, that definitely seems useful to me. This would always be a single block and not one you assemble in the world, though I could make it a "double block" where you can assign different camos to the half pillar and the slab if that's something you'd want to use.

Thank you for your reply. I think both versions could be useful in different scenarios if its not too much to ask, for me it is supposed to look like a "Japanese mansion" foundation part and since its all wood then I will probably use the single block, but I see other uses which could be nice to use different materials for half pillar and slab in the block. It would look way better than the half meter version of it seen in the screenshot on the left.

I'll add the double variant then, duplicating this shape to have a single variant and a double variant doesn't make much sense to me.

I understand, Thank you ^_^ I forgot to ask would it be possible to make it rotate in every axle? by Rotate I mean so It could be placed with half pillar facing both sides of x, y and z? Also will it be compatible with Minecraft 1.19.2? I'm not sure how mod implementation works in Minecraft, never did any mods for it.

Making it placeable in all six directions was my intention.
Unfortunately it will only be added to 1.20.1 and later, 1.19.2 has been out of support for a while as maintaining more than two versions at the same time is not feasible.
