Describe the bug
There appears to be no way of placing the Framed Sloped Slab upside down. I have tried placing it in every orientation I can think of, and also used the Framed Wrench on every face, but cannot get it to place with the sloped section on the bottom. The Framed Elevated Sloped Slab works as expected.
How to reproduce the bug
- Create a Framed Sloped Slab either via crafting interface or the Framed Saw
- Attempt to place it against the underside of a block
- Observe it still attempts to place the block in its normal vertical orientation
- Attempt to rotate the block with the Framed Wrench
- When clicking on top or bottom face, observe that it rotates horizontally as expected
- When clicking on one of the three side faces, observe that it simply moves the block to the other half of the blockspace it occupies with no way of actually rotating it
Expected behavior
When placed against the underside of a block, it should behave the same as the other sloped blocks and place upside down with the slope on the underside of the block.
Additional details
Thankfully, because this is a simple shape, it is possible to get the same effect using a collapsible block, but as the Framed Sloped Slab and Framed Elevated Sloped Slab blocks are created to work together, I would expect them to behave the same way to allow creating a smooth slope either direction.
Crash log
No response
A quick update; the Collapsible Block option is not a good one, because I did not realize the Collapsible Block cannot be rotated with the wrench, meaning you would have to create four different variants of this shape to get one oriented for each cardinal direction. When looking at the block with the Framed Wrench in hand, an informational popup comes up that I do not understand what it is trying to say:
I'm not sure what that is supposed to mean, and hitting the block with the Framed Hammer (anywhere except for the already deformed face which will simply deform it further) does nothing.
The Framed Slope Slab can be placed upside down by sneaking while placing the block. I'm aware that this is entirely undocumented, I'm still working on adding documentation for stuff like this.
Regarding the info popup when looking at the collapsible block with a wrench: the second line contains a mistake that I somehow missed for ages, it's supposed to say wrench instead of hammer, I'll fix that in the next update. Regardless of that mistake though, the popup is not relevant to your particular use case, it only applies if the face is deformed in such a way that the four corners cannot form a flat plane and allows you to switch the diagonal along which the face is "bent":
