Fusion and Diagonal Windows currently do not interact. The developer of Diagonal Windows has made it clear they're not interested in adding compatibility.

If at all possible, it would be fantastic if this feature came from Fusion's side instead?

Fusion just adds new features for resource packs. What would compatibility with Diagonal Windows do?
