there could be a new, more simplistic layout that would be just a 2x2 block texture.
this would be amazing to create new patterns and more, and also be more simplistic.
I can think of something like a wall or a floor pattern that would do it.
there's some of it in minecraft already but they're limited to just spin around.

this new layout would just require a 2x2 block texture .png in the files, as that would be it.

with the texture i'm making, which tries to give that to terrain textures, it would help a lot.
