I have not been able to find out the exact conditions in which it does or doesn't work, but with some portals (sometimes not all), being in f5 causes you to not be able to interact through the other side, right clicking, left clicking, or picking block does not work through portals in f5, but it doesn't happen to all portals, it only happens with some (most) portals. And its not a command issue for me to set the nbt, as it only doesn't let you interact while in f5 mode.
