Title explains most of it. A portal that has been rotated 180 degrees will shove you into the floor as you walk through it.

I am going to make the adjust-position-after-teleport attribute enabled by default

Try to use command /portal set_portal_nbt {adjustPositionAfterTeleport:true} for the portal

(There is already a command stick for this command)
