also another issue is Eureka! Ships! for Valkyrien Skies when you make a ship it completely disappears been testing it in 1.18, you get stuck there completely and can't move and you have to kill yourself to get out of this block state

This is weird. The log says something about a missing data fixer. Weird, if i remember correctly this generally happens when you disable the DFU. Anyways i will try on my pc to see if it is a third party mod or not. Would be great to have this to work with clockwork (to have stuff like cameras).

@Miner34dev This is not the issue; that happens even without immersive portals. VS2 changes too much rendering jargon for it to be compatible with immersive portals without actual compat work being done, which right now is not a priority.

Isn't there an option to not render portals, but just have the classic purple portal texture + instant warps? Could Immersive Portals possibly work with it in that mode sooner without a massive rewrite?

I love the portal rendering and would be sad to see it go, but at this point I'm mostly attached and reluctant to remove it in favor of VS2 for the functionality of my servers hub area connecting everyone together.

@ficarra1002 Vanilla allows reducing nether portal animation delay via game rule.

I meant for overworld <-> overworld portals. And it preloads chunks even if it's not rendering through doesn't it? Meaning immersive portals with the rendering disabled would still be much more instant than vanilla
